Fidos Therapy Dog Teams

A therapy dog team consists of one dog and his/her handler. Therapy dogs are owned by our volunteers and are specifically trained to perform quality pet therapy visits at local healthcare facilities when accompanied by their owners and/or to participate in our community education program.

Opportunities for Therapy Dog Teams include:

    bullet Demonstrations, Information Booths and fund raisers for Fidos (e.g. - civic clubs, businesses, Maryland Renaissance Festival, University of Maryland Ag Day)

    bullet Junior Volunteer Program (Juniors 12 and older are partnered with an adult volunteer and taught how to train and handle a dog during Wednesday evening classes.)
